Democracy Action Network operates through a series of dedicated committees, each focused on specific aspects of our mission to defend and strengthen democracy. Here’s an overview of our committee structure:
Core Leadership / Steering Committee
- Oversees the organization’s mission, vision, and strategic direction
- Coordinates between committees and ensures alignment.
- Alignment with National Indivisible – Talking points from weekly ‘what’s the plan”
- Coordinates activities across committees
- Coordinates logistics for in-person and virtual gatherings.
Action and Organizing Committee
- Plans rallies, town halls, forums, and protests.
- Coalition Outreach – Builds relationships with other organizations, activists, and communities.
- Focuses on partnerships across ideological and demographic lines.

• Manages social media.
• Media outreach & press releases.

Education and Skills Training Committee
• Develops workshops, teach-ins, reading groups, and curriculum.
• Focuses on civic education, media literacy, and counter-disinformation efforts.
• Organizes volunteer training
Fundraising & Development Committee
• Creates and executes fundraising strategies (grants, donations, events).
• Manages donor relations and financial planning.
Membership & Volunteer Committee
• Recruits, trains, and retains members and volunteers.
• Facilitates onboarding, mentorship, and leadership development.
• Handles internal communications and feedback.
Policy & Advocacy Committee
• Studies and interprets the political doctrine or policies that needs addressing.
• Develops position papers, fact sheets, and talking points.
• Equips members with tools to advocate at local and national levels.
• Canvassing efforts.
